Two castles... one lost princess... and fairy tales
Welcome to a mystical land where fairy-tales come to life and happily ever after isn’t just your imagination. With faeries and elves, creatures of many kinds living free, enjoying life. Or so it would seem. After all, you shouldn’t always believe the things you read in books, right? In this land, it’s a different story. A tragic one, if you would care to listen, my friends:
The good king, Lyle, had a daughter and son. Sadly, his wife passed away one year after his daughter was born. And tragedy struck again when his daughter turned five: She was kidnapped by a witch. Lyle was in grief, sending the guards to find his daughter. But they never did. After trying all he could, Lyle finally gave-up looking. Fearing she would be lost forever, his noble son wouldn’t stand for it and left home to find his dear sister. It’s funny how the thing you desire is often right under your nose: Having banged her head, the princess lost all her memories and was raised in the very town surrounding the castle by a meager pie-baker and his wife.
Many years later, life in the mystical land changed. King Tristan, his queen and son think happily ever after is nothing but a fleeting illusion. They see the fairy-tale creatures as objects that should be wiped out. They have even teamed up with the villains to bring an end to the ‘once upon a time’ wanting to bring an age of despair and darkness run not by the fairy-tale heroes, but by the villains.
Tristan has begun a war with Lyle to take complete control. Despite having a daughter lost somewhere amongst the many happy creatures and the rumors that his son is now living the hard life of a mercenary, Lyle must protect the fairy-tales of our childhood. Will happily ever after survive to close yet another story, or will evil win this battle and King Tristan finally bring about his golden age? Well, you’ll just have to turn the page.
