Tifa was back home and now was cleaning the mess from the unexpected visit she got from Sephiroth. A few shattered plates lied on the floor along with a broken picture frame. She sighed as she bent and picked them up.
He was gone but for how long? Now that he knew where Tifa and the kids were they weren't safe anymore. She was worried for Denzel and Marlene but hasn't said a word yet. Not to anyone even her friends but she couldn't hold things in forever.
Tifa finally was done with the cleaning and was about to close for the night when she heard a knock on the door. "Who is there...?" She asked unsure if it was an ally or foe out there.

Vincent moved slowly towards the bar. He didn’t know what it was, but he felt something odd. He couldn’t place the feeling, but he knew that something had happened. It was that gut feeling, his core telling him that something had happened, but what that something was, or to whom it happened, Vincent was far from knowing. He'd managed to learn the path to the bar by foot knowing that he stood out like a sore thumb when on the roofs; at least here he could mingle with the shadows, even slightly.
'I don’t like this feeling...' Lifting his reddened gaze to the door of the bar, knocking softly as he waited. It wasn’t usual for him to knock, he'd just appear inside, or go through the roof. He never waited or asked to be let in anywhere and the bar especially. His gaze lowered, seeing the young Tifa at the door, feeling the somewhat different atmosphere.
“Good evening Tifa...” tilting his head, his eyes narrowing slightly, he could sense that something wasn’t right here. His gaze moved around the bar behind Tifa, seeing that the room wasn’t the same as last time he was here, but maybe that could just be because it was a bar, people came here.
“Why do I feel... that this odd feeling has more meaning than I thought?”

"Vincent" Tifa said sighing in relief as she opened the door wider for him. "Good to see you again" She said smiling her usual smile as she looked at her friends before closing the door again and walked behind the counter. "Need anything to eat or drink?" Tifa asked without turning to look at the rest of the bar.
He noticed that something was wrong well of course he did is was clear as day the shattered glass and broken chairs... the bar was a mess it was clear that there was a fight in there, one between Tifa and Sephiroth. Actually it wasn't much of the fight and Tifa did most of the falling. She still had burses on her body that she tried to cover up as well as her wound which was slowly starting to heal.
"So you have noticed" she said turning to look at Vincent. Tifa hesitated for a second should she tell him? She wasn't sure not wanting to worry anyone. But someone had to know. "Let's just say he decided to drop by and pay me a visit..." She was talking about Sephiroth.

Vincent nodded softly, moving into the bar as his gaze moved around the place, only to pause as he bit his lip. Sephiroth had been here… here! He turned, looking back over at Tifa, seeing now more than before that she had a few bruises here and there. Damn it… why did that monster have to come here… why? Vincent moved towards the bar, shrugging softly as he moved to clear a few of the broken shards of glass.
“I don’t need anything, just thought I’d come and see if anything was happening…” he turned to Tifa, blinking slowly as he tilted his head, why did Vincent feel like this was his fault? He’d said that he’d protect the people living here… but he hadn’t… he’d been out looking for Sephiroth, only to miss the one place that the man would definitely go to… to the place where the people close to Cloud would be. Lifting his clawed hand, scratching his cheek softly as he sighed,
“I’m sorry Tifa…” he looked back over at the bar, moving behind it as he looked over the broken furniture, the broken glass and the shattered framework of the room. If he had been here maybe Tifa wouldn’t have gotten as hurt as she had… what if the children had been here when Sephiroth attacked? Sighing heavily, his clawed hand moved to collect the glass on the counter, moving the pieces to a small pile as he sighed once more,
“Maybe I’ll move in here no?” he looked up, a small worry in his eyes, “down here in the bar, just to ensure that this fate doesn’t befall the others”

"Its okay I just got a few bruises nothing big" Tifa said with a smile as she walked over to the broken picture frame and and looked at the photo of her Cloud and the kids. "What I don't understand is why he didn't kill me though" She placed the photo on the counter and turned to Vincent.
From what she remembered from the fight was that she was tossed around the bar Sephiroth was toying with her. He even drew his sword and stabbed her couple of times but now that she thought about it he never aimed to kill. "What was he after...?" She muttered sitting down on one of the chairs.
Tifa then noticed Vincent's expression "Don't tell me your blaming yourself too for what happened? Its my fault I let him get to me and..." Tifa sighed remembering how Sephiroth angered her by mentioning how he killed her father in cold blood.

Vincent's eyes darted to the corner of the room, focusing on the corner as he took a small breath,
"no... why would i be thinking that Tifa?" he took a moment before looking at her once more, "i know that i couldnt stop it from happening even if i had been here..." he blinked softled as a small smile grew on his lips, one so small that only if you knew Vincent well would you see. But he knew that Tifa would know that he somewhat felt guilty for what happened. His hands moved over the glass, collecting it into his claw as he moved to throw the shards away,
"Maybe his trying to use this..." he motioned to the room, then to Tifa herself, seeing the light markings on her skin, "as a way to mentally affect Cloud"
If anything, Vincent dreaded the feelings he felt now... this humanity... he had craved for it for so long... only to hate the way he felt so... useless... fragile, to know... that the attack of one of those close to him would hurt him more than any wound... that was a dreaded thought to the immortal man.
"We all know that he wants Cloud... and even i have noticed that the people here are his...Achilles heel"

"Good I don't want anyone blaming himself for what happened. These scratches will heal with time. As I said I am just glad to be alive." Tifa replied turning to Vincent with a smile.
"Your welcome to live here if you like and um Vincent could you not tell Cloud about this?" Knowing Cloud he would place the blame on himself no matter what she might say. He already ran away feeling guilty... what will he do once he finds out that she was hurt?
"Hm..." Tifa listened to him as he spoke what he said made alot of sense. Sephiroth's main target was Cloud and to get to him he would use his friends... "I guess that means we all need to be more careful, we know nothing of his plans and who he might target next..."
One thing she couldn't hide though was her fear. Tifa believed that now she was stronger not to win but to fight Sephiroth off but what happened a week ago proved her wrong. Not only did Sephiroth achieve what he came to do but also learned of Tifa's relationship with Cloud and now she was left to wonder what to do."What I can't figure out is how he came back..."

Vincent smiled softly, he knew that Tifa wouldnt want anyone blaming themselves for what happened here, and Cloud... it didnt take a genious to know who that man would blame.
"Dont worry one bit Tifa... he wont hear it from me" Vincent tilted his head, his hands moving to pull one of the few undamaged glasses from behind the bar, unconciously getting himself something to drink as he chuckled.
"Theres no need to tell me twice young one... i was planning on living here anyway" he smiled softled once more, taking a long swallow from his glass, not knowing what was in it, but it tasted good. But hearing the comment on how Sephiroth came back... that was something even Vincent didnt know... he knew that he should tell Tifa about that door he'd found... but he knew things would move into place it he did... so for now, he'd keep that information to himself.
"How he came back... I'd imagine...assume really that its because the lifestream is acting up" he finished his drink, turning his body as he placed the glass softly near the skin, his hands moving more pieces of glass into a small pile,
"i've been watching it... and its doing things i've never seen before..."

Tifa smiled at Vincent glad that he would not tell Cloud about what happened. "He knows about the attack but not the fact that I got hurt" Tifa explained "That’s the reason why he left. Cloud thought that if he wasn't here Sephiroth would not attack again"
Tifa glanced around the bar. It was empty usually at this time it was packed with costumers but after what happened she had to close the place. Well at least till she can fix the damage that Sephiroth has done to the bar.
"I guess it’s because of the darkness slowly taking over this world again... the lifestream is starting to act up and everyone is coming back." Another fight lied ahead just when they thought the world was in peace he had to come back again. "Things are different now and from what I know he got a lot stronger... Sephiroth. Do you think we stand a chance against him?"

Sighing softly, Vincent tilted his head, shaking it softly as he moved his clawed hand over the glass pieces, collecting them as he slowly muttered,
“That one never learns…” He raised his gaze to Tifa, knowing that she knew him well enough to know that what he was saying wasn’t said with foul intentions, “He knows that Sephiroth is after him… we all know that… and we all know Sephiroth will do anything to get to him…” his head lowered as he moved once more, throwing his new collection of glass away, “I mean… Cloud has to have thought that Sephiroth would come here when he couldn’t find Cloud…”
He moved around the bar, moving to sit on one of the unbroken chairs, swinging slightly as he sat, his cloak moving around his body slightly, draping over his knees as he spoke,
“We all know he is a monster… and monsters want to hurt… Cloud should really be here if he wants to keep you, and not the mention the others, safe” He took a small breath, shaking his head once more. He knew all too well how hardheaded Cloud was… they all did, Cloud thought that taking on the world on his own would keep people safe… it only really put those he cared about in more danger.
“The darkness… you are not the first to tell me that…” His cocked his eyebrow softly, his hand tracing over Cerberus softly as he raised his crimson gaze to hers, “ Yes yes… Sephiroth is stronger… but so are we” He tilted his head, a confidence in his eyes that Vincent didn’t usually have,
“Fine, Sephiroth, our ultimate evil is back… and we all know it…” He stood, moving towards Tifa, his human hand moving to her shoulder softly, that small smirk on his lips,
“And if you think… for even one moment… that Cloud, Barret, Red XIII… even Yuffie… haven’t already started forcing themselves to get stronger... you are very much mistaken” His features warmed slightly, he knew that he could be like this with Tifa, she could see right through him anyway, why keep up the act when he could actually act human and not have someone comment on it?
“We’ve beaten him before, and like last time, Cloud pushed us away… its just the way we do get things done… and it seemed to work… oddly enough”

“He just… wants to fight him alone so no one would get hurt, but that’s not how Sephiroth wants things… I tried talking to him and I just hope he listens.”
Sephiroth was indeed a monster one that was out to hurt all of them to get to Cloud. That much Sephiroth said himself. “He wasn’t to fill Cloud’s heart with darkness… that’s what he said when he came here…”
A new battle was about to be fought and everyone was trying to prepare for it but it wasn’t that simple. “Your right Vincent… we have to start preparing for the fight… that includes me too. If we do it together all of us I am sure we can bring him down.”
She remembered the past The won twice already, and Tifa was sure Cloud had the strength to beat him once again. “Cloud just needs to believe in his strength like before… if he can do that then I am sure he can beat Sephiroth again…. but you know its not that easy to show Cloud that.”

Vincent nodded softly, licking his lip as he turned back to bar, moving towards it as he learned against it. He knew it was all too true. Sephiroth would do anything to destroy Cloud… anything. But the problem here was Cloud… not Sephiroth. Vincent knew all too well that Cloud could definitely beat Sephiroth, he had the strength to do that, they all knew that, Cloud would always be stronger than the other.
“Don’t worry about that Tifa…” He tilted his head, smirking softly, “Cloud will find his strength soon enough, just as always …” He sighed softly, even Vincent, who had more than enough patience… sometimes couldn’t take the other male. Cloud never believed in what he had… and he only ever did when the end was all too near. But Vincent trusted Cloud, with everything, how couldn’t he? The man had given Vincent a new purpose to living, to not just lay in that coffin and relive the nightmares over and over again.
“You know me Tifa… if I didn’t have hope in Cloud I wouldn’t still be here…” He looked into Tifa’s eyes. He knew that his words, if heard by most people, would cause shock, especially considering that Vincent was meant to be Clouds friend.
“I wouldn’t waste my time on him if I didn’t know he could still do it” He tilted his head. Looking around the bar as he licked the corner of his lip. He knew that Tifa would understand the meaning behind his words, that she’d know that he didn’t mean it the way it had come out.
“Everything just takes time, and Cloud needs it, and for any darkness to get him… hell… it has a few people to go through before it can ever get to him”
