~Character Info~
Name: Squall Leonhart
Age: 17 years old
World: Balamb Garden
Gender: Male
Race:Human
Job:SeeD mercenary
Alignment:Good
Side: Light
Appearance:
Accessories: Griever
Personality:
Squall is very drawn-in, not wanting to open himself up to others. Even though he hates to admit it, even to himself, it’s mostly because of the fear of being hurt by the one’s he trusts the most. Even though it might seem like an irrational fear to most, seeing that he has a team of friends that has supported him throughout… it doesn’t change the fact that he would rather be cold and not feel that type of attachment, if it would spare him from feeling the pain of being abandoned.
From an early age, not having parents to guide him to see the good in people, Squall became a very cynical person. If a person tells him “It’s always best to see the positive side of things!”, he would reply with a muttered “Why bother? It’s not going to change reality…”.
Nonetheless, Squall has slowly begun to see the upside of things, slowly letting people in. It might not seem like a big step to most people that someone his age manages to smile once in a while… but having known him, his friends see the difference.

History:
Born in Winhill, Raine Loire gave birth to Squall shortly before passing away. After his mother’s death, Squall Leonhart was sent to an orphanage situated in the Centra continent, where he spent his childhood. Squall grew up with a continuous feeling of emotional pain that caused him to develop into an emotionally detached, cynical and introverted individual.
At the age of 6, Squall was admitted into Balamb Garden to train as a SeeD, choosing to train with the gunblade; a difficult weapon to wield and master, taking years of training to perfect one’s technique.
Several years later Squall has become known as a "lone wolf". His superiors regard him as difficult to deal with but respect his talents. The rivalry between him and Seifer had become common knowledge amongst the Balamb students. Due to his use of GFs Shiva and Quezacoatl, his memory has weakened, remembering only the feelings of abandonment he felt when Ellone, his ‘sister’, left.
After Squall’s first mission ending in failure, the group makes it to the Galbadia Garden and receives new orders; the assassination of the Sorceress during her inauguration ceremony as the ambassador of Galbadia. They are joined by a new team member, Irvine, who is assigned to help them as sniper. With Squall as their leader the group takes a train to Deling City.
Further into the night all hell breaks loose as the ceremony begins Sorceress Edea kills the President and claims Galbadia as her own. As leader of the assassination team, if the sniper should fail to hit his target, Squall must fight the Sorceress himself. Irvine seems to be unable to complete the task, but after talking to Squall, he fires at the Sorceress. After the battle, Edea casts her limit break, spearing Squall through the shoulder, rendering him unconscious.
Squall wakes up, only to find himself imprisoned in the D-District Prison. It is during Seifer's interrogation, that Squall learns Edea has ordered a missile strike against both Balamb and Trabia Gardens. Squall escapes and hurries to Balamb Garden to warn of the imminent missile assault from the Galbadian forces.
However, upon arrival, the Garden is in the midst of chaos, a mysterious faction with allegiance to Garden Master NORG having staged a revolt against Headmaster Cid. While helping those he could Squall searches for the Headmaster, finally finding him bunkered in his office. The Headmaster instructs Squall of the Garden's status as a mobile bunker of Centra make. Upon the activation of the ancient system, the Garden transforms into a mobile fortress and avoids destruction by moving away from the spot the missiles were programmed to target.
Not long after Squall is ordered to head to Trabia Garden. Irvine starts telling Squall about their past together in the orphanage which they had all forgotten due to one of the GF usage side effects; memory loss. The team decides to defeat Edea, despite of their linked past, and they embark to the old orphanage in search for clues. However they are intercepted by Galbadia Garden, leading to The Battle of the Gardens.
Squall and his team penetrate Galbadia Garden, defeating Seifer once more and challenging Edea to a final battle, ending in Sorceress Edea's defeat and Rinoa falling into a state of coma. Concerned over Rinoa's state Squall decides to search for Ellone. It was then discovered that Ultimecia had taken control of Rinoa and used her body to free Sorceress Adel from her space-bound tomb. The station is evacuated as the Lunar Cry begins.
Coming across an abandoned spaceship called Ragnarok, Squall and Rinoa use it to return to the planet. The land base then tells them that Rinoa is to be seized upon returning to Esthar due to her becoming a Sorceress. Squall allows Esthar to take her into custody, but after his friends help him to see reason, he breaks into Sorceress Memorial where Rinoa is being held. Squall frees her and the team heads back to Edea's Orphanage to regroup before returning to Esthar to stop Ultimecia once and for all.
Other: People think he's either arrogant, selfish, self-centered, thinks too much... or all of the above. Not Squall's fault that he would mostly prefer to sit and stare into open space, ignoring the disorganized buffoons around him.
