Personality: Kadaj is a twisted form of what could have been. Lacking true nurturing he roams the worlds trying to find his 'father' Sephiroth, and his 'mother' Jenova, as he considers these to be the two things that can bring balance to his life.
His mind is a swirl of chaotic cruelty, wanting to force others to suffer as he has. He want's to see nothing more than the revival of his mother, she is the answer to all things in the world. He will stop at nothing to find the remains of Jenova, and will kill anyone that attempts to stop him.
His evil intents are rarely swayed for casual conversation, his mind focused endlessly on his pursuit. Those not having relevant information are typically dismissed in hopes of progressing to the next step on his journey. However more lately since his visit through the lifestream he has opened up more to the idea of 'friends' more commonly referred to as allies.

History:
After his willing acceptance into the lifestream, Kadaj found himself tricked by a sweet voiced angel (Aerith), his mother still lost to him. This caused much rage, hatred, and to further twist his perspective on reality. He was now trapped, decaying, swirling within the lifestream. His goal had gone only slightly completed with the revival of Sephiroth. Now he needed to finish it, but the lifestream only served to further his conquest as he tapped into the knowledge of life itself. This offered him the realization that his creation was due to the one known as Sephiroth, his 'father' in a matter of speaking.
As he learned to move within the lifestream he was able to research more on the events of his own birth, and the impact his actions had caused on the world. Many would feel remorse for those ripples in the planets life, Kadaj merely found a sense of pride and honor in how he could control the destiny of the world in such a short time, just like his 'father' before him when he called Meteor. His research only continued from there, reforming his plan to resurrect mother, and become a family.
In his research he found an interesting possibility to latch onto a summon as it's essence was pulled from the lifestream in order to manifest physically in the world once more, much as summons do. The problem being the pain inflicted when a spirit drifts in the real world unanchored to life. This could be remedied by stealing a trick from his fathers book, using the Jenova cells in himself to taint a new carrier, and pass his presence into it.
After waiting what felt like 7 lifetimes he found his chance, one of the uncured geostigmatics was nearby a summoning, in fact, he was the one calling it. How unfortunate that Ifirit would not be coming today, only Kadaj. As he reached the physical world Kadaj quickly took the young boy within his hand, the startled boy only managing to scream before his body took on Kadaj's shape, much as Sephiroth had done to his own so long ago. His fathers genius had once again been proven, as Kadaj was allowed a second chance to finish his mission, and revive mother.
