Sephiroth laughed as he heard Cloud saying something, it sounded like the girls name,Humph?... I didn't catch that Cloud... Did you say the little girl's name?... I wanted to ask her but unfortunately she only kept screaming and wouldn't tell me..., Sephiroth wasn't laughing now, he had that distinctive cold and indifferent tone he always had, he didn't have any feelings, he didn't feel anything now, the "feeling" he sensed back there was gone, it was rather a relieve for him, it could distract him if he was going to duel Cloud, which will probably start in a matter of seconds...
Sephiroth sensed Cloud's blade moving, he was about to make his first strike. Sephiroth was already prepared, he was only a arms length from his sword, he would only have to stick his arm to the side and he would already be holding it.
Sephiroth was right, Cloud was already on his feet and was swinging his sword, the target was Sephiroth's neck... Sephiroth did a quick clockwise rotation, grabbing the sword's handle and plucking it from the ground, the sword remained with the blade pointed down. He used the momentum from the rotation to easily stop the swing from Cloud's sword. His head was down.
After Sephiroth easily stop the swing, he raised his head, his cat like green eyes narrowing down his, he had that distinctive Sephiroth gaze, the one that would make even the strongest of humans scared. That's the Cloud I know... Tell me Cloud... How much darkness have you accumulated in your heart during my departure?... Did you fear this day would come again?... The day you and I would face each other?... Or the day that I would come back and kill your friend again, plus your girlfriend?..., Sephiroth still looked indifferent.
Sephiroth backed his body a bit, only then to use force to make Cloud's sword back away from his.

That's the Cloud I know... Tell me Cloud... How much darkness have you accumulated in your heart during my departure?... Did you fear this day would come again?... The day you and I would face each other?... Or the day that I would come back and kill your friend again, plus your girlfriend?...,
Sephiroth knew Cloud....Which was scary to Cloud actually.....Because Cloud has only opened up to one person....Tifa.
Cloud felt the force his on his sword....It was enough to almost knock him back an inch or two.....Cloud was never strong like Sephiroth was....this man was one that Cloud could never defeat.....Well once....But that was all in the past.....This was now. Cloud had one face in his mind now....Tifa....His heart was broken. When Sephiroth told him , he killed the kids...."Tifa.....Why Tifa....?" Cloud spoke that in his mind....As he raised his sword again....This time it would be forced enough to hopefully knock Sephiroth back as Cloud aimed for the sword Sephiroth was holding.....

Sephiroth smirked as Cloud rose up from the blow. Those eyes... Those eyes filled with grief... Filled with Darkness... That's what Sephiroth wanted to see!
Cloud was about to strike again, aiming at Sephiroth' sword, with a smirk Sephiroth dashed forward, interrupting the move before it could hit it's target. Sephiroth was close to Cloud, his eyes looking into his as he was saying Sephiroth was lying... Sephiroth let out a cold, uncaring and indifferent laugh. You don't believe me, Cloud? Then how did I ever acquired the pink ribbon from the little girl... And if you must know, she yelled your name Cloud... But it did nothing... SHe needed you Cloud, how could you do that to such a young girl? Face it Cloud, you are better off alone... Alone with the darkness of your heart..., Sephiroth said. The sword were clashing, the sound of metal rubbing with metal could be heard from afar.

Cloud scoffed at that last sentence.....But why was he not there when all this happened....? He could've been looking for Zack and Cloud didn't know...Or he was out of town....Why didn't Tifa call him....? Oh right.....The thought of him not answering his phone.....Came back....She probably thought that it would put him on the spot....Or maybe she couldn't reach her cell phone......All kinds of things ran in his mind......
"I'm better off without you!!"
Cloud hated Sephiroth's taunting....that was enough....But to fight and taunt him at the same time.....Well, that just pissed Cloud off more.....Again, the man blocked the sword! Cloud was struggling to keep the thing from hitting his vital organs again.....He couldn't bare that....not again.....Cloud's own sword pressed against Sephiroth's.....You could see it in his eyes he was trying hard to keep that damned thing away from him.....It got to a point to where Cloud had to bend his knees slightly as he was still standing.....Even the veins in Clouds arms were showing a bit more as he strained himself.....Sephiroth would indeed see the tears.....
"Why?......."

Sephiroth laughed, Cloud could not exist if Sephiroth didn't... Sephiroth was the darkness in Cloud's heart. And there is no light without darkness. If one of them vanished, the other would also join him... They were cursed to duel for eternity.
Why do you say that Cloud?... Saying you don't need me is the same as saying you don't need yourself... I am you Cloud, stop fighting it... Embrace it, just like I embraced the fact that I was a monster created to become just as powerful as my Mother..., Sephiroth laughed, he would keep dueling and taunting, that's how it would always be...
Cloud was putting all he got, it wasn't bad... he had gotten stronguer... Althoug, was he tearing? Sephiroth rose an eyebrow, he thought he heard CLoud say something like "why?"... Sephiroth smirked, he seemed distracted in thought. Sephiroth used that to his advantage. Using the short distance he was from Cloud, he kicked him back from him.
Why?... Because you failed to protect them, that's why Cloud... They keapt yelling your name... But you weren't there..., Sephiroth said with his cold indefferent tone...

Cloud closed his eyes. Seeing Tifa's face in his mind.....
"Cloud!"
Her voice echoed his name.....To even imagine her like that was enough.....And the kids....Denzel...Cloud never told the boy he was proud of him.....Why? Why'd they have to die? Because of him....Yes it was all Clouds fault....But the kick knocked Cloud back to his senses....As he skidded a bit away from Sephiroth....Anger was firring up in Cloud's eyes.....
"I...I can't do it....I hate to disappoint you Sephiroth.....You'll just have to kill me.....Because I learned a long time ago....The lines between good and evil.....And one thing I'm not....Is you!"
At that point..... Cloud raised his sword higher and stood there....There was no way in hell he was going to charge himself straight forward! He learnt that lesson already......Cloud knew what was coming....The final strike...Possibly....Cloud has battled Sephiroth long enough...This was it for him or Sephiroth.....It was too tearing Cloud a part.....The darkness was winning....Knowing that Tifa was dead....There was no more reason.....No more reason to live on.....She was dead....Cloud finally accepted it......He pressed his feet in the snow....Eyeing Sephiroth....Even with the tears rolling down his cheeks.....If he didn't win this....Then there would be nothing....But darkness......
