"So you knew… but why didn’t you say anything then?" If he did then maybe this would have been easier on her. Tifa heard him push his chair back as he moved to where he was facing her. This time Tifa couldn’t avoid looking into his eyes she just looked deep into his mako blue eyes and when he said he felt the same way her face light up with joy.
"You do… " She smiled brighter looking at Cloud now. This just seemed like a dream to her. "Am I dreaming?" She asked unsure as she looked at Cloud.

"I..I was just scared...." He admitted....He remembered what she told him about fear once....He hardly ever admitted that he was afraid.....
"You do… "
"Am I dreaming?" Cloud then shook his head no at her question...She was not dreaming. If she was, then he was to....
"It's not a dream....You can be sure of that." He then placed his hand on her soft cheek....All these years....He was ready to love her more.....More than just beeing her friend. Being her boy friend. Maybe this would be better for them. He knew it would be better. Some how he just knew they were gonna make it as a couple. He then brushed away a strand of her hair for her....
His heart missed a few beats....He was in love with her. That he knew. He never has had feelings this strong....Like he does now....He saw her face light up with joy as he told her the truth of his own feelings..... |

"We both were" Tifa replied. Her smile just brightened now as she felt better than ever. The one she was in love with actually shared her feelings. I t did feel like a dream, one that finally came true.
His touch was so gentle. Tifa closed her eyes for a second to enjoy the feeling of his hand on her skin. She now had nothing to hide from Cloud. She just knew that things would get better from now on. "Thank you Cloud for always being there for me… who would have thought that we both felt the same way?" She took a step closer as she gazed deeper into his eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck. "So where do we go from here?" She asked.

He didn't even pull away when she wrapped her arms around his neck....and he smiled as she asked where do we go from here?....
"Hmm.....Nine out of ten we begin with a kiss...." He smiled again at her....He was so happy with this new feelings inside him....Man if he had this while fighting Sephiroth, he'd win without breaking a sweat....But he knew that her love was there for him now. So what ever he got himself into from here on out, he would have her to help him.....He didn't want to fight any more either....He was enjoying this. He felt at ease. His mind was made up now...She was it....There was no one else that could make him feel this way..... |

"Hmm that sounds like a good idea" Tifa said with a chuckle. She was so calm now it was amazing what his touch could do to her. Tifa's smile never faded as she tilted her head to the side and leaned closer but waited for Cloud.
Her feelings were strong and finally settled now they were out in the open. She was with the man she loved what more could she ask for? "I love you Cloud. And I want to spend the rest of my life loving you. From now on nothing will stand in our way." That was one thing she was sure of.

Cloud just gave her another smile when she agreed with him...And saw her tilt her head....As he did the same....And brought his lips to hers.......They had made contact. And this to him was the best feeling he's had wanted for a long time. He was finally hers....And she was finally his....She was right...Nothing could not stand in their way.....He then lowered his arms to wrap them around to her lower back as he deepened the kiss....It was a great feeling....Cloud was glad that the kids hadn't come up to the roof yet....They might still be asleep....Especially Denzel....Poor kid....He desrved a break..... |

Their lips touched finally and it was the best feeling Tifa has ever felt. She had been longing for this ever since she was young and now her dream has finally came true. The kiss was amazing and having him wrap his hands like that around her just made it even better.
They deepened the kiss and Tifa closed her eyes to enjoy this moment an carved it into her memory. This was just the beginning for them thought and she had a feeling that things will just start to get better. Whatever they have to face later on they could do it together.
Tifa pulled away from the kiss once she needed to breath but she didn’t move from her place. The sun seemed to be shining brighter that day or was she just imagining it cause now that she was with Cloud everything seemed to be better.
"How was it?" She asked looking at Cloud. She was talking about the kiss. That was her first one. He gave her a lasting memory and she just hoped that this to him was amazing as well.

Cloud smiled as she looked up in to his Mako blue eyes....It was a wonderful feeling to him....He still had his arms wrapped around her.
"It was wonderful...." He replied.
Everything seemed to dry up after the rain came last night...And the sun was brighter.....Even his eyes sparked more than usual. He was in love.....He knew that this was going to be a great day. It was not just another day....Not to them....No they found heir love with each other. Finally after all these years....
"Too bad we aren't back home huh? That hill top would've looked very pretty today...." |

Tifa smiled brighter than ever. Her love for Cloud just kept on growing. Finally they were together. "It felt wonderful to me too. You know Cloud you are a real good kisser." She pushed her hair back before resting her hands on Cloud’s shoulder. "I had a feeling that today was going to be a great day… guess I was right"
With that said Tifa just rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Feeling his hands wrapped around her made her feel safer than ever. She was disappointed though now that she waited this long to tell him.
"Hm…" Tifa lifted her head slightly to listen to Cloud. True the view from their hometown would have been amazing. "I know but this is the next best thing. Want to lie down and watch the stars tonight like we used to when we were kids?" She asked

Cloud blushed at that comment she made and looked down...lettin some of his bangs fall over his eyes.....He didn't know he was a good kisser....But he must be if she said so.....
"I had a feeling that today was going to be a great day… guess I was right"
"Me to..." He replied....Still looking down at his boots.....He was red in the cheeks...
"I know but this is the next best thing. Want to lie down and watch the stars tonight like we used to when we were kids?"
He then looked up at her as she asked that....She would see the red was still in his cheeks.....
"That would be nice....I think Denzel is staying over at a friends house tonight....And Marlene will be gone as well....We'll have the place to ourselves for once...."
He was going to make this a night she would never forget......He had alot planned already....And it was not even night time yet...Cloud smiled warmly at her...His eyes were gentle looking at her....Who knew what could happen with them now....Cloud could easily remember what he went through with Tifa's father....And that was painful....That the man said plain out....That Cloud could never be a hero.....Cloud looked down again....This time he sighed as that memory came back...... |

Tifa chuckled once she saw Cloud go red in the face and lower his gaze to the floor. She blushed as well but took one hand to his cheeks and waited for Cloud to lift his head. The wind blew gently and Tifa brushed both her hair and Cloud’s back.
"Yeah they both said they will be out tonight." Tifa remembered both Denzel and Marlene mentioning that they were leaving for a day or two to try and make new friends.
"Do you already have something planned for tonight?" Tifa asked as she saw the look in Cloud’s eyes but that soon changed. "Cloud…" She said his name once she saw him look down once again. This time though his expression changed and she heard him sighed. "What is it… what’s wrong?" She asked unsure of what changed all of the sudden.

"What is it… what’s wrong?" Cloud looked up at her and smiled. To reassure her that it was all good....
"Don't worry....It was just another memory....I'm alright...But if you must know, it was the one with your father...." Cloud was really opening up to her now...It was just easier. He knew Tifa inside and out....He probably knew her more than her other friends....Because Tifa grew up with Cloud. Cloud like that....That the one that thought he wsa hero was now his.... |

Tifa sighed as Cloud mentioned her father. She did miss him a lot and knew what Cloud was thinking of now. Ever since she fell from that cliff and was in a coma everyone blamed Cloud for the incident when clearly it was her fault. Her father also blamed him and if she remembered correctly he told Cloud that he was not fit to protect his daughter.
"Cloud… is that why you left to become a Soldier to prove that you could protect me…?" In the past Tifa thought that it was because he wanted to prove that he was different than the others, that he was special. Now she wondered if what her father said in the past affected his decision.

"Cloud… is that why you left to become a Soldier to prove that you could protect me…?"
Cloud looked into her eyes....
"Yeah....That's why I left...And I think you know by now, that I didn't make it....What if Zack survived....? Would I really be a Soldier now? Or not? I think about that some times....He was my best friend Tifa....Besides you...He even told me once....I am his living leagacy....Now that I think about it....I'm not...I mean...So much has happened since his death....I'll never be as good as he was....No matter how many battles I win....I'll never be good enough....But to you...I am....I can't forget what your father said and did....That's why I left to begin with....I wanted to prove that to your father....But now, I'll never be able to."
Cloud had thought about what he and Zack had been through....Tifa knew most of it...He told her as soon as he could...But when he thought he was Zack...He lost his friend...He lost her for a while....But now that he was back to his ol' self, things have changed......
Cloud knew that Tifa's father would never approve to this...Them being together like this...He would probably say some thing like....Cloud was not good enough.....But Cloud tried to not think on the negative things but the positive things in life now....He was alive damn it....That was special....He knew in his heart that his mother would be very proud of him..... |

Tifa sighed and shook her head "No Cloud you are good enough. Maybe you didn’t make it into Soldier back then but you won the fight against Sephiroth twice. Doesn’t that count for something? And don’t forget you have also saved my life more than once. I think you have proved everyone that you do have what it takes." Tifa said smiling warmly at Cloud as she lowered one hand to grab his. "Zack believed in you. That’s why he said you are his living legacy… Cloud don’t you think it’s about time you start believing in yourself?"
Tifa knew what her father said in the past was wrong and she knew how much it hurt Cloud. But ever since her mother died her father tried to protect her from everything. It was because he was scared of losing her. "Cloud you know my father didn’t really mean what he said. He was just over protective of me… if he was alive now he… he would see what a great man you have turned into."
