It was just another day in the world of Gaia. Cloud had only been living with Tifa at 7th Heaven full ime for a few weeks. He was liking this new life style....With Sephiroth gone there was alot more to do....He had to re-pay some people for backed up orders from his dilvery service he owned....So he made those trips. And was trying to get his life back together.
The world seemed more happier as the Geostigma was now gone. People were getting back to their lives....Not living in fear made this possible. Cloud himself had been cured. He was working out too alot lately. He'd jog in the morning time before everyone at the bar would wake up. Cloud's life was just better now.
Cloud was jogging again this morning. And he ran for a few more miles than normal. He was tryingto settle his feelings abou a crtain some one that was close to him....A friend that was there for him when others couldn't be....Tifa Lockhart. She was his angel in this world. Even though at times he has taken their friendship forgranted....He even hid his identiy from her once....All because he was not a Soldier....But now he had no reason to hie any thing from her...
Except his true feelings....He was worried that she would not feel the same....Finally, Cloud made it back to the bar...And walked inside....No one was still awake...It was quiet here.....He liked the mornings alot better now...Cloud walked up to his bed room and sat at his desk. And turned on his coputer....To look at more orderes....And sort out a few things.... |

Cloud just came back to live with Tifa, Denzel and Marlene in Seventh Haven again. It was nice to have help around the bar again and to know that Cloud was alright so she wouldn’t worry too much. The four of them lived together like a family at least that was what Tifa wished for and tried to be there for all of them.
Things were getting better and they were finally able to return to their homes and reunite with the ones the loved. For now the worlds were in peace and Tifa intended to enjoy this one as long as she could. Not knowing when the next one would come.
Tifa woke up later than usual but that was only because she was exhausted from working late at night. She had to do that every day though to finish cleaning and washing the dishes for the next day. But for now she decided to take a break and close the bar for one day. That was why she didn’t mind waking up late that morning.
Even though it was her day off Tifa still had chores to do before considering relaxing or doing anything else. She got up changed he clothes and walked down the stairs to cooking breakfast. Normally she would cook for all three but the previous night she let the children sleep late and knew they wouldn’t wake up anytime soon so it was only for her and Cloud then.

Cloud had finally finished is wrk for the morning on the PC. He turned it off and stretched his arms up in the air above his head...He even popped a few fingers...An sighed. He felt like a million bucks. He knew by now that some one was awake...So he after stretching he got up out of hs chair and walked out of his room....He never cleaned his room either...But Tifa would do that for him....He knew that she liked doing that for him...
Cloud enters the hallway. No sounds of children yet. Tifa must've let them sleep late again. Well, Cloud didn't mind it....It gave him enough time to talk with Tifa before the day actually began. He walks down stairs now and enters the bar area. He smelled a fresh pot of coffee Tifa had made....He smiled to himself. As he walked behind the bar and grabbed a small coffee cup...And walked over to the coffee pot and poured him a cup. He was really enjoying this....Nothing to worry about for weeks.....He was actually now happy....Clod then smelled food...It was Tifa. He was sure she was cooking some thing. Her food was aslways good to him.....He walked away from the bar area and entered the kitchen..... |

Tifa turned on the radio as she started cooking. She also smiled feeling great, well it was a good day for her and she was planning on enjoying it with everyone else. She wanted to make everyday count and start a new life.
Taking two plates out and put a little bit of everything. She was done cooking and now just had to clean up and return the ingredients back to their places before calling Cloud.
Finally she turned off the radio and washed her hands and then heard someone walk into the kitchen. Tifa turned around to see that he was already up. "Cloud your just in time, breakfast it ready." She said picking up two plates and handed one to him.

Cloud was not wearing his sword haulter.He hadn't needed to since all was well in Midgar....Cloud took another drink of his coffee....And heard the radio going on....There was news going on right now. Cloud could smell beacon and eggs....It smelled delicious.
He then saw Tifa...Man she was so beautiful...He was letting his feelings get the better of him again....He just sighed to himself...Would he ever get the courage to tell her....? He then snapped out of his own fantasy as he heard her say it was ready and he took his plate....There were some eggs, beacon, toast and strawberries....And a big portion of it for him....It seemed that Tifa wanted to keep him well fed...
"Thanks...." He replied.... |

Tifa smiled brighter at him. Yes she had feelings for Cloud strong ones as well. She wanted so much to tell him too. That she liked him more than a friend but what would happen after that and would she lose her friend? Tifa was afraid of him running away again and out of fear of losing him she decided not to say anything.
"You’re welcome" She replied taking her own plate to one of the tables in the bar and sat there. Tifa took a sip of her coffee and waited for Cloud to join her before starting to eat.

Cloud wasn't stupid. He knew that Tifa had feelings for him....But he was waitting for the right time to let her tell him. He just didn't know that she was scared of telling him....Maybe now that there was no fighting going on, she could settle down and tell him....
Cloud then sat at the same table with her and ate his breakfast. It was all delicious....He ate every bite....He didn't have to worry about gainning wait.....Cause he worked out more now these days....He had to keep himself nshape because you never know what could happen.....
After breakfast, Cloud sat on the roof top in one of the chairs....He turned the roof into a eatting area for the bar as well....But luckily no one was here at the moment. He had a fresh cup of coffee......And just sighed....It's not like that hill top in his home village but, it was the second beest thing. Because Tifa was there. |

Once they were both done Tifa took the plates and washed them before placing them to dry. The bar was so quite while the kids were asleep. She wasn't used to that but still it was nice.
She then climbed up to the roof to where Cloud was and smiled. "Why do you always come up here?" She asked resting on a chair beside him as she gazed up at the sky.
Should she tell him about her feeling? Now seemed to be like the best time if she wanted to, but something was holding her back. She was afraid of losing Cloud as a friend, of learning that maybe he felt nothing towards her or that he might just up and leave again. Sighing as she looked down disappointment at herself for not having the courage to tell the truth.

"Why do you always come up here?"
Cloud smiles as she walks up and joins him....
"I just like it up here.....It's nice. Especially after a rain....." He took another sip of his coffee.....He saw the wind was blowing her hair. She looked even more beautiful. He sat the cup of coffee down again...
Cloud was always changing the way he did things. But today might be different for him....He saw her sit in a chair beside him. He smiled again...As he too looked up at the morning sky. The clouds were puffy and white....Things sure have changed....It was nice....To not having to worry about alot of things......
Maybe this was the day she would decide to tell him the truth. He hoped she would. Why was she so scared to tell him? He feels the same.....But he again was just waitting for her to tell him.... |

"I see... well it is nice up here" Tifa admitted smiling at Cloud. She too came up to the roof to think at times or to calm down when she was worrying a lot. Was that because it reminded her of the mountain back home? She used to site there and watch the stars that always helped her.
Taking a deep breath and letting it out she realized that she couldn't just ignore those feeling anymore. They were burning in her heart she just had to let them out. "Cloud I..." But the words wouldn't come out. "There are a lot of things I want to tell you. It's important and... and I think its time to let it out."

Cloud looked up at her. Was she actually talking about this now? He hoped that she was. He just looked up at her....
"There is....Alot of things I want to tell you as well...But you go ahead." He wanted to see if this was what he thught. That she was actually going to tell him that she's felt the same things he has. There was a bit of noise in the streets below. But, Cloud didn't care. All that mattered was here and now.....And what she was going to say now. He had her undefined attention. As he placed his coffee cup on the table beside him. And just waitted for her to tell him what was on her mind..... |

Still not raising her head to look at him knowing that she wouldn’t be able to say anything if she did. Tifa also took a deep breath and calm herself. Her mind was made up finally after all those years. She was terrified of what would happen next but she found the courage she needed to let the truth out.
"Remember back home… when we were kids we used to climb a mountain to look at the stars. We used to lie up there for hours just gazing at the stars and talking. Then you slowly started to open up to me and we became good friends. I got to know you more and..." She passed as she gripped the hand of the chair. This was harder than Tifa thought but she tried to remain focus and get to the point.
"Just before you left to join Shinra I asked you to promise me something… do you remember what that was?" Tifa was going back to the past to when she first started to have feelings for him she was going to let it all out.

"I remember. When ever you were in trouble, I'd come......I haven't forgotten Tifa....Nothing..." It was true. He never forgot anything. He was just so glad that she was finally opening up to him...And she was having a hard time. He noticed how she kept her head lowered...She was nervous. He was too...But he wanted her to look at him....But he couldn't force her to that...If this was the best way for her to get any thing said that was difficult he would know now for now on.....
"You have nothing to worry about Tifa....You're my best friend....I've shared some of my darkest fears with you....Please.....I'm here.....Just tell me...."
He also knew that she was taking her time with this. But he didn't care. He had all the time in the world now....Cloud felt another breeze hit his blond hair....And it blowed in the breeze....It was a beautiful day...Even the birsd were back.... |

He remembered that made her feel better that Cloud didn’t forget about the promise they made a long time ago. "That’s right and you kept the promise for me. You were late at time but you always came…" Tifa let out a sigh as she felt the wind blow gently on her skin why was this so hard why couldn’t she just tell him straight up that she had a crush on him ever since they were kids?
Tifa heard Cloud’s words they calmed her down as they always did and she nodded and lifted her head to look at him. "I… I have feeling for you Cloud. I always have and they never went away. I really care about you a lot and… I wanted to tell you this for so long but my fear held me back. So I asked you to make that promise hoping that you would come to realize this on your own." She gave him a weak smile as she got up and walked a few feet away and looked down at the crowded streets. "I kept this a secret for so long. I didn’t want it to ruin the friendship we have. I thought I can keep these feelings locked up forever… but in the end" She sighed "I just gave in to them…"
Now she didn’t know what to expect. Would Cloud leave again or say that he felt nothing towards her. Her worst fear and dream, she would have to face one soon and she just wished that somehow he felt the same way.

""Tifa....I knew it....I could just tell....Little things you did....Showed me....." He then got up out of the chair and walked over to her side....
""It's ok.....I feel the same way....You have nothing to worry about....You are my best friend....And I'm in love with you....." He faced her.....And wanted to kiss her now...Even though he's never kissed a girl....He knew what he was doing....It was so easy..... |
